दिन कि शुरुवात… with a simple morning tea ritual
Mornings are fresh, new beginnings. Take a few minutes to begin your day with intention. It is a small thing that may have an impact on your day and in turn, your life. The pace of everyday life seems to be rushed and getting even faster. Chai is a small way to slow down and be more present, Tea is not just a drink. It’s a way to nourish and connect. The ritual of preparing and drinking tea is calming and grounding. It awakens us to the tiniest detail and helps us become more aware and maybe even a little more patient. Inhale the aroma as you open the tea canister. Pay attention to the sound of the water boiling, watch for the steam. Watch the color of the tea change as it steeps. Open all of your senses.
Create your tea ritual
Here are a few simple actions to help us connect to our self, our place, and the moment.
Select your tea. (Maybe you have a beautifully arranged tea shelf filed with tea tins.)
Smell.
Notice.
Warm up your cup.
Boil the water.
Watch the leaves unfurl in the water.
Inhale.
Be grateful.
Sip.
Ways to add to your tea ritual:
Set your intention for your day. Ask yourself how you want to feel for the day… productive, strong, appreciated, etc.
Visualize the day ahead.
Think of three things in your life, big or small, that you’re grateful for. You can do this while standing in your kitchen waiting for your water to come to a boil.
Take five full, deep breaths.
Think of three people in your life and send them love and gratitude….
